So, now that I Werner follow me on Twitter and confirmation of address (clearly the North Pole), I thought to my Christmas Wish earlier this year. I put much thought into this.

Just when I opted for a shiny new gadget on the side of the library of the house, I saw the reply to Eran Trome Amazon's (et al) research on the Cloud mapping presented in this article from Computerworld written by my old friend Jaikumar Vijayan entitled "Amazon downplays report highlighting vulnerabilities in its service cloud."

I quickly discarded my list yuletyde treasure and instead decided to ask Santa (Werner / AWS) for a gift more important: a clear response from AWS, which is issued by a spokeshole RP speaks rather openly seamlessly and in an engaging way with customers and the security community.

Here's what held me (italics added):

The research paper itself describes how potential attackers could use so-called "side-channel attacks to try and try to steal information from a virtual machine target.
