Mid-Michigan Veterans Day Activities Planned
WASHINGTON -- President Barack Obama is saluting the troops on Veterans Day by hosting a special breakfast at the White House. He and first lady Michelle Obama will be welcoming a select group of veterans and their families to the private event. The president will also mark the day at Arlington National Cemetery. Here's a look at a few things going on in Mid-Michigan: Veterans Day Flag Ceremony: The flags atop the three flagpoles on the lawn of City Hall in Flint will be replaced. The tattered and worn flags will be lowered and removed and new ones will be attached and raised. The ceremony will be conducted by Commander Michael Robinson and the NJROTC unit from Flint Northwestern High School. The unit will remove and replace the US Flag, State of Michigan Flag, and the city of Flint Flag and will take place at 8:30 a.m. Veterans Program: We are so grateful for our veterans and would like to honorsmall dead animals: I Miss W.
