Firestone Christmas records, oranges in my stocking, stockings, house, rock candy cut Peerless CHGO, a live Christmas tree, turkey, ham, stuffing, pretzels in a giant metal box, one corner of cheeses specialty in a green plastic tray, venison sausage, hanging C-9 Christmas lights outside, golden Christmas lights on the artificial tree, light up Empire-size Santa Claus blowmold, using great black tea, a fireplace with wood, fabric little elves, homemade ornaments including balls of Styrofoam pierced with jewels glittering costumes and a small drum made from a clothespin wooden pumpkin pie, Salerno and holiday jingles.Today, my wife bought me a box of cookies Santa's favorite, which was pretty sweet of her. Are you asking, "Where are the holiday jingles" Here's the short version. Salerno, a regional airline, has made holiday jingles for as long as I can remember. These cookies were flavored with anise and red asparagus in a green cardboard box. These cookies do not exist anymore. When Keebler bought Salerno Salerno they stopped using the name jingles. Keebler has since been put out its own version below picture above. Today Salerno makes cookie using the same recipe, and invites favorite Santa Claus.(I met Father Christmas and I can say hey yo are, in fact, his favorite!) The problem with Favs Santa Claus is that they have different shapes and textures that oldies. You know what? They have the same taste. So if you are nostalgic for the old Holiday Jingles try the new version and let me know what you think.
I Googleing these "cookies" and came across your post. They were a must have for every Christmas for me as a kid too. I just talked to my mother yesterday, on Thanksgiving Day. It made me laugh when I read Firestone Christmas albums. Wow I hadn't thought about that in years but, we had a few and drug them out about this team every year. Thanks for the tip about Santa's Favorites. I've tried others but, with out the Anise flavor it's just not the same....
