There are very few things I'll do at this remind emphasize in time without having a coupon.  The only trend I can think of off the top of my head is big-time theatre performances.  For as it happens, we have tickets to see The Lion King when it hits Chicago in October.  Of run, my boyfriend paid for the tickets so those are kind of a detract from to me, right? ;)

Daily deal sites have made it so effortless to not pay full price for a meal at this point that going to a restaurant without a coupon is vitiation.  For those days when I don't have a Groupon or YouSwoop or coupon from myriad other sites at one's fingertips I turn to Restaurant.com .

Are you familiar with the site?  Restaurant.com is based out of Chicago and they tender really inexpensive gift certificates to area restaurants.  When they're not having a in stock you could pay $10 to receive a $25 gift certificate.

What I Saw on My Walk Today: How About a Gift Certificate?

Tip # 1 - I'm an athlete. I played organized (and somewhat disorganized) softball, basketball, field hockey, track and sledge. Well, maybe not the sled but I'm a good teammate. Also being a skater on ice, roller skating, hiking, skiing snow. Have water skied, spelunked, played football and babysat a family of four boys for five years. Played volleyball league, wallyball and was the third year Dodge Ball champion. Also, competitive and Simon Sez Hokey Pokey involved because that is what it is. I created this blog for a couple of reasons.To maintain a commitment I made to myself, I had to walk at least thirty minutes every day since the beginning of the year. On these roads, I walk through what I think is one of the most charming cities on the planet. On each walk I see at least 10 things that make me smile. I intend to show you a picture of one of these things (people, places, animals, flora, house, event or scene) so you can enjoy our good city with me. The second reason is that you can keep an eye on my commitment to myself. I promise to post a photo of the day walking on this blog every day.My goal is to begin running in about a month, so it could get tricky taking the camera along but I am very happy to cross that bridge when I waddle over it. So ....... no excuses. I invite you to keep an eye on me and enjoy my little town of Fernandina Beach, Amelia Island, Florida right with me. I turned 49 today. This is my "before" photo. You'll see me when I turn 50 - February 1, 2008. I hope you enjoy this journey with me.
